Interval International displays mandatory resort and all-inclusive fees upfront on Exchanges during the exchange booking process

Traditional Exchange (week-for-week)
- Exchange Value is the value of the requested week:

- May exchange for a higher value for a fee (see Uptrade Hub)
- Uptrades can include more unit sizes, more travel dates, more destinations
- Based on:
- Deposited unit does not guarantee equal size
- Supply & demand factors into availability
- Unit size and/or location
- Big/major cities are limited/rare
- If a desired destination or dates are not available – advise a request list
When searching for an Exchange using a Late Deposit:
- Owners may only search and book an exchange within 30 days of the desired travel date
- For example, if the desired exchange is for mid-August, then you may begin searching for this vacation starting mid-July
Club Interval Gold (CIG) Exchange (points)
- Points will search everything available within Interval’s inventory
- Average points needed for top-tier resorts/weeks:
- 60k-70k – studios/suites
- 80k-99k – 1 bedroom
- 115k – 2 bedroom
- Average points needed for top-tier resorts/weeks:
- Points exchange for full weeks, short stays, cruises, hotels, golf, spas & attractions
- Deposited unit does not guarantee equal size
- Supply & demand factors into availability
- Unit size and/or location
- Big/major cities are limited/rare
- If a desired destination or dates are not available – advise a request list
Request List
If a desired destination or dates are not available, a request list can be placed, i.e., a waiting list
- Requests can be placed up to two years in advance or until the deposit expires
- Utilizing one of the deposits on the Interval account (traditional or points)
- Exchange fee is paid up front
- Cancellable/refundable at any time until a request is matched
- Refundable if a match isn’t found
- If a match is found, an email confirmation is sent confirming the Exchange
- The owner has 24 hours to deny the match and either:
- Return Request List to pending
- Cancel for a full refund

Request First
Similar to a Request List – however, the owner week is NOT deposited unless a match is found
- Exchange requests can be placed for any date up to the same check-in date for the owner week being used as the deposit
- Exchange fee is paid up front
- Cancellable/refundable at any time until a request is matched
- Refundable if a match isn’t found
- If a match is found, an email confirmation is sent confirming the Exchange
- EXCHANGE MATCH IS FINAL – NO 24-HOUR CANCELLATION PERIOD
E-Plus
An add-on purchase to their confirmed exchange, allowing up to three re-trades for a one-time fee
- Fee: $89
- Can be purchased within 14 days of confirming the original exchange
- Re-trades include any of the following (or a combination of):
- Destination
- Resort
- Unit size
- Travel date
- Only full-week Exchanges qualify
- Getaways, Short Stay Exchanges & Bonus Weeks do not qualify
Re-Trade (without E-Plus)
A re-trade is when a member changes an original confirmed exchange to a different destination, resort, unit size, or travel date. An additional full exchange fee ($249) applies.
Non-owners exchanging into BGV properties are limited to only one exchange every three years per membership. Exchanges not adhering to this are subject to cancelation.
Although BGV put forth this rule, Interval International is the one policing this policy. While we empathize with their exchanges being cancelled, these guests should be directed to Interval’s customer service team.
All BGV Owners are exempt from this policy.
