Developer Weeks
A Developer Week is a BGV owned deposit given to owners facing lost usage and other escalated compensation scenarios. These “deposits” exchange like any standard deposit.
Giving a Developer Week
- Confirm the owner has an active Interval Membership
- Must be active to offer
- Traditional or CIG
- Determine what unit size you will be offering
- Single unit or Split
- Add “Deposited Week” note to Owner File
- First line of Deposited week note will read “DW / Season / Year”
- Â Example: “owner deposited check-in date(s): DW / Summer / 2026”
- First line of Deposited week note will read “DW / Season / Year”
- Adjust usage of contract being given DW to zero
- Disclosures:
- Offer is a 1 time courtesy
- Deposit will appear on Interval account within 48 hours
- No I-O-Us
- Exchange fee is $249
- Expires within 18 – 24 months
- Expiration appears once it appears on Interval account
- Look to see if owner is able to book next year’s usage
- Provide EDUCATION so that they avoid facing lost usage in the future
Developer Week Facts
Traditional Facts:
- 2Beds & larger can receive individual units if they wish to split
- GC8 lost usage can receive DW’s from GL7 once GC8 runs out
- These deposits will only be eligible to exchange for GL7
CIG Facts:
- CIG Points will always be the 2nd tier of points based on their season
- CIG may also choose to receive traditional DW’s
General FAQ:
- Deposited unit size does not guarantee equal exchange unit size
- Supply & demand factors into availability
- Big/major cities are limited/rare
- If a desired destination or dates are not available – advise a request list
